Estimating monthly parcel volume from public company signals
Adjust to match the company's sector
Turnover, average site visits, and average global rank are benchmarked against seven revenue bands (from <$250K to >$250M). For a given turnover, expected traffic and rank are interpolated between the nearest bands. If the actual global rank entered is stronger or weaker than what turnover alone would predict, the conversion-rate assumption is nudged up or down accordingly — a company ranking far better than its turnover implies is treated as converting traffic more efficiently than average, and vice versa. Two independent order estimates are then produced — one from turnover divided by an assumed average order value, one from monthly visits multiplied by the (rank-adjusted) conversion rate — and blended into a single figure. Where TAMI already holds shipping companies, countries served, or click-and-collect data for a company (Service Providers tab), those are used to adjust the average order value and shipments-per-order assumptions and to split the total across named carriers, rather than an even split. Because these assumptions still vary by sector, this remains a directional sizing estimate for prioritisation purposes, not a guaranteed volume figure.
